Epitalon

Epitalon is a synthetic peptide made of four amino acids (alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine), that is based on a natural peptide called epithalamin extracted from the pineal gland. It was synthesized by Vladimir Khavinson, a Russian professor and gerontologist, whose research focused on the development of peptide preparations used to restore function in various organs in order to prevent and reverse the aging process.

From JC at GRG: Since April, my wife and I have been taking 3 mg sublingual doses of Epitalon (from Super Nutrition) every morning for the 1st through 15th day of each month, then ceasing for the rest of the month.  Russian research brought to my attention by Johnny Adams indicates that this may stimulate the production of teomerase and lengthen ones telomeres and may have other benefits.  Our Epitalon self-experiment is described in this LINK.  We had our DNA methylation ages measured  by EpiAging before starting the process, and we will do so again afterwards.

So far, we have followed this procedure for two months, and we plan to continue for two more.  As for effects, I cannot say for sure.  I am afflicted with some pattern baldness, which may be a bit better than before we started, but it has certainly not gone away.  I sleep well and sometimes have vivid dreams, but I cannot say that I have noticed any changes in this area since we started.
