Science 16 July pg 281-Destroying aging (senescent) cells improves survival! Senescent cells amplify damaging inflammation.  “senescent cell load and the secretome increase, which drives inflammation, tissue damage, further infection, inflammation-related pathology, and death.  Removal of senescent cells…reduces inflammation to below the “young” threshold, allowing disease resolution and survival.

Science 9 July pg 181: Microbiome is substantially heritable. Credit or blame your parents for dementia and obesity which are substantially due to your microbiome.  But also eat yogurt daily to help maintain a healthier microbiome.  And consider antibiotics to clean out a faulty microbiome and consume a better one with yogurt.

Science 9 July pg 172: Microbiome fights neurodegeneration! Niacin was deficient in people with poor microbiome (supplement with vitamin B3). ALS can be relieved by microbiome transplantation in mouse model.

The major active components of garlic (Figure 1) are its organosulfur compounds, such as diallyl thiosulfonate (allicin), diallyl sulfide (DAS), diallyl disulfide (DADS), diallyl trisulfide (DATS), E/Z-ajoene, S-allyl-cysteine (SAC), and S-allyl-cysteine sulfoxide (alliin) [15,16,17,18].
